Park Kyu-hyun (24), wearing a Daejeon Hana Citizen uniform, finally challenges the K-League stage.
Born in the youth Ulsan Hyundai High School under Ulsan HD, Park was evaluated as a big prospect from an early age. With outstanding skills, he played for the under-20 national team at the age of 18, and moved to Werder Bremen as a high school student.메이저놀이터
Life in Germany was not as easy as ever. He played mostly in reserve teams under the age of 19, and failed to settle down in the first division, ultimately playing in the third division Dinamo Dresden.
His five-year professional career was rocky, but he had a deep connection with the Taegeuk mark. He played as a gold medal member at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games and made his A-match debut in the same year. Called upon by Hwang Sun-hong, who was with him at the Asian Games, he moved to Daejeon and is preparing to make his K-League debut.
Park Kyu-hyun, who met in Bangkok, Thailand on the 24th, said, "It's still awkward to prepare for the season while comforting Korean," and laughed, "I think I got close to my teammates quickly after joining the team. I think the harmony is going well. I'm trying to fit in with what the coach wants. I don't think there are many parts that don't fit. I'm having a good pre-season while learning a lot," he said about the winter training situation.
Park Kyu-hyun is making his first K-League debut after finishing his five-year career in Germany. "Returning to Korea does not mean that his career will be over. I didn't feel sorry about coming back from Germany," he said. "I always watched highlights of the K-League. I also watched a lot of Daejeon games. I learned how to be helpful to my team and joined the team."
Although he did not succeed as a result, his challenge in Germany left a significant impact on Park's soccer career. "Actually, for about three years from the first year, I was just having a hard time," Park said. "I cried a lot and laughed a lot with my mother. I also learned how to stand up when I was in a difficult situation. It was a tough experience, but it was a good one. I have no regrets about advancing to Germany. I think it is right for me to play even now."
As a side back, Park is a new resource that will take charge of Daejeon's side defense. "I am most confident in defense. I will display strong play. A player needs something special. It's okay to stand out. It's good to get attention in any way. I will stand out from the point of responsibility," Park said. "I don't want to make a scene where I can score a goal or allow assist by breaking through vainly on the sidelines. As much as you cheered for me, I want to do my best to give stability whenever I play. I will show you strong performance."
